In this tutorial a side channel blower type pump is simulated. Once more new features are introduced. In the folder for the rotating geometry the user will find three stl files and two text files. The two text files are used to define the rotational settings of the shaft and the rotor. The third *.stl has an _mrf subfix added to the name of the rotor. This makes sure that the mrf zone will inherent the rotational settings from said rotor.
- 1. Open the case by locating the folder to where this tutorial was extracted to.
- 2. Select the Internal template in the template drop down menu
- 3. In the geometry settings it is worth hiding the pump housing to see the other parts. This case contains two rotating geometries and an mrf zone.
- 4. After potentially modifying some settings, the case can be built.
- 5. Running the case might take some time...
- 6. After running the case, it is time to post-process the results. MantiumFlow will create an *html file in the postProcessing folder of the case. It can be opened with most internet browsers.
