About OS

Lately my simulation times got longer and longer (I’m suspecting the endless windows updates). So i’m thinking about installing ubuntu on one of my harddrives. Does openfoam have some good performance gains on linux? Or should i switch back to Oracle VM Box (if it’s still working ofcourse)?

OpenFOAM will run much better on Linux. So you will see a noticeable performance gain.
However, maybe the reason your simulation times increased so much is because of the Pikes Peak car. With the larger wings the mesh is quite a bit larger as well. This will simply take longer to simulate.

Ok thanks for clearing that up.
